Copy a catalog
The Copy command under the Catalog menu copies roles, Permissions and the relationships between them, from one server to another. The list of servers that you can copy a catalog into is created when you start System Architect Catalog Manager. You can refresh this list at any time with the Search SQL Servers command under the Catalog menu.
To copy a catalog
1 Click Catalog on the main menu and select Copy.
The Copy Catalog dialog is displayed with some of the fields already selected for you. Click the corresponding field if you want to select different values.
2 Click Target catalog name and select a catalog name.
3 Click OK.
If a catalog already exists on your target, SACM asks if you are sure you want to overwrite the contents of the target catalog with information from the source.
4 Click Yes to continue or No to cancel.
5 To view results, click the Current Catalog (Type, Server) drop-down, select the catalog you just copied, and click Go.
