Assigning a cost driver to an Elementary Business Process definition
You can assign a cost driver to an elementary business process.
1 To open an Elementary Business Process definition, do this:
In the Browser list, click Elem. Business Proc.
A list of the Elementary Business Processes defined in the encyclopedia is displayed.
Double-click an Elementary Business Process, such as “Approve Credit.”
The Modify Definition [Elem. Business Proc.] dialog box opens.
2 Advance to page 2 of the dialog box, Activity Based Costing.
3 Click Choices.
4 In the Select and Drag [Cost Driver] dialog box, select and drag cost drivers to the Cost Pool - [Cost Driver] field in the Modify Definition [Elementary Business Process] dialog box.
5 Click OK.
Next
Now that you have assigned cost drivers to the business processes, you can update ABC and view the total cost in the Elementary Business Process definition.
