Use the Extract feature to select diagrams or data dictionary items from a project encyclopedia other than the current one, and to merge them into the current one.

Tools > Collaboration > Extract

When you add the new data, the encyclopedia increases in size.

The source of the merge must be located in a separate subdirectory, which can be on a hard disk drive or a network drive.

Perform a complete backup of the current encyclopedia before the merge.

The encyclopedia the which is being merged into the target encyclopedia.

The encyclopedia the source is being merged into.

Select the information to be merged. Click Everything to merge all artifacts from the source encyclopedia. Click Existing list or New list to use an existing list or to create a list of selected artifacts to be merged.

Select how collisions are handled when artifacts from the source have the same name as artifacts from the target.

If enabled, properties and configurations from the source encyclopedia are used.

If enabled, a report displays after the merge listing the artifacts that were inserted and deleted.
