OV-05b Operational Activity Model diagrams (DoDAF 2)
The OV-05b Operational Activity Model describes the appropriate activities connected with the architecture, the data and information exchanged between activities, and the data and or information exchanged with other activities that are outside the scope of the model, such as external exchanges.
The following image shows an example of a OV-05b diagram.
On the OV-5b Operational Activity Model you can model the following artifacts:
▪Activity
▪ActivityResourceOverlap
▪Performer
▪ActivityPerformedByPerformer
There are two types of OV-05b Operational Activity Model diagram. There is a BPMN type which maps BPMN elements directly to DoDAF2 elements. On this diagram there are some behavioral controls in the diagram properties:
▪Create/Update ActivityPerformedByPerformer Definitions on Positioning Symbols
There is a diagram property Auto-create/update ActivityPerformedByPerformer in the Behavior tab which allows the behavior to be disabled if deemed necessary.
▪Population of Location in ActivityPerformedByPerformer
There is a diagram property Auto-populate Where of ActivityPerformedByPerformer (Where is the property name) in the Behavior tab which allows the behavior to be disabled if deemed necessary.
