SV-1 System Interface Description diagrams (DoDAF 2)
You can specify the static relationship of systems to one another on the SV-1 System Interface Description diagram. This product builds on the logical operational view that you created in the OV-02 Operational Resource Flow diagram.
On the SV-1 diagram, you specify the allocations of specific systems that are being addressed for implementing specific functions.
The artifacts modeled on the SV-1 diagram include:
▪System (a type of Performer, and in turn a type of Resource)
▪Person (a type of Performer) interesting point
▪Organization (a type of Performer)
▪Performer (a type of Resource)
▪Resource Flow line: Drawn between Performers, the Resource Flow line enables you to specify Information and Resources that are passed between Systems.
▪PersonPartOfPerformer relationship line: Drawn from a Person to a Performer. Automatically fills in the Members property of the Performer, with the Person. Also automatically fills in the Performer property of the Person definition.
▪MemberOfOrganization: Drawn from a Person or any kind of Performer, to an Organization. Automatically fills in the Member of Organizations property of Person or any other Performer that the line is drawn from.
▪ParentSystem: Drawn between systems. Automatically fills in the Part of System property of the system that the line is drawn from.
