Generating system data exchange, system interface, and system node interface definitions (ABM for DoDAF)
You can automatically generate System Data Exchange, System Node Interface and System Interface Line definitions.
1 Select Tools > DoDAF (ABM) Utilities > Generate System Data Exchange Definitions.
2 Select Generate SDXs from leaf level System Functions.
If you determine that it is not possible to decompose your SV-4 Data Flow diagrams down to a leaf level, choose Generate SDXs from leaf and parent level System Functions.
3 You can also select these options:
Associate SDXs to new and/or existing lines
Associate SDXs to generated lines
Associate SDXs to user-drawn lines
Remove generated lines that contain no related SDXs
Remove user drawn lines which contain no related SDXs
Disassociate any invalid SDXs from lines
4 Click Run.
The appropriate System Data Exchange (SDX) definitions and System Interface Line definitions are generated, and a report is opened that details the actions taken and any problems encountered.
