The metamodel of the Performance Reference Model supported in System Architect is as follows:

To explain this metamodel, here is an example of how you would use it: create at least three Measurement definitions -- each having a distinct value for its Measurement Type property; for example: Actual, Baseline, and Planned.

These three Measurements should be linked to the same Point in Time definition, via the Measurement’s Captured at Point in Time property. Also, each Measurement should be linked to the same PRM Measurement Indicator definition via the Measurement’s Measurement is instance of Performance Measure property.

You then map each Measurement to the same System definition via the System's Applies to System property. This enables you to specify how a System is being measured. Specifying the Organizational Unit (and Position of the individual in that Organizational Unit) that performs the Measurement is optional.
