Data Reference Model (DRM)
While OMB has not published the Data Reference Model (DRM) yet, and hence it is not implemented as part of iRMA. A possible structure for the linking to the DRM based on System Architect’s data modeling capabilities is shown in the iRMA meta-model. The potential/placeholder linking concept for use by Department/Agencies is Information Exchange. Information Exchange has non-determined relationships with System Architect’s Data-Element and Data-Item Meta-concepts, and two potential/placeholder linking concepts: Unit-of-Work and System/Application.
System/Application Domain: OMB does not explicitly describe the Meta-concept and properties for a System/Application; these need to be derived from the Reference Model documentation and Exhibits 300 and 53. The System/Application Domain has two Meta-concepts, System/Application and System- Component. A System/Application is made up of one to many System-Components.
