Other Line Drawing Options
You can also set or change the following line drawing options:
Center-to-Center Routing
By default, the line drawing style turned on by default adheres to the place on the edge of a symbol that you connect a line to. You can change this by selecting Format > Center-to-Center Routing. This will make it so that a line is drawn from the center of one symbol to the center of another symbol.
Line Style
By default, the Straight Orthogonal line style is turned on across all diagram types. You can change this for a diagram by selecting Format > Symbol Format > Line with a diagram open – and selecting:
Straight – Any Orientation,
Straight Orthogonal, or
Elliptical Arcs.
Notes on drawing Elliptical Arcs
When drawing with the Elliptical Arc line style turned on:
1 If you right-mouse click while drawing, you change the direction of the arc.
2 If you left-mouse click while still in drawing mode and not yet having connected the line to its destination node symbol, you place an endpoint in the elliptical arc.
