NOV-4 Organizational Chart artifacts
The Organization Relationships Chart is a hierarchy diagram, which describes the relationships between organizations or resources.
These relationships can include command and control, coordination relationships (which influence what connectivity is needed), and many others, depending on the purpose of the architecture. These relationships are important to show in an operational view of architecture because they illustrate essential roles and management relationships.
Organizational Units are used along with NOV-4 Connection Lines.
Organizational Units provide crucial information regarding what type of military service will be used and what the purpose of the mission may be.
Note You can reuse an Organizational Unit previously defined in an NOV-1 diagram by right clicking on the diagram workspace and selecting choices from the floating menu. The Organizational Units are also known as an Owning Organization in an N OV-2 diagram.
NOV-4 Connection Lines allow you to assign a connection type to the connection definition. The following types apply: Situation Dependent, Coordination, and Backup.
