Displaying NSV-3 system-to-system matrices
You can display a report that describes the system-to-system matrix. The system-to-system matrix describes the relationships identified in the internodal and intranodal perspectives of the system interface description.
The system-to-system matrix is similar to an “N 2” type of matrix where the systems are listed in the rows and the columns of the matrix, and each cell represents a system pair intersection, if one exists.
The system-to-system matrix can be organized in several ways, such as by domain or by operational phase, to emphasize the association of groups of system pairs in context with the architecture's purpose. You can use the system-to-system matrix to manage the evolution of systems and system infrastructures, new technologies and capabilities, and the redistribution of systems and processes from evolving operational requirements.
1 From the View menu, select Matrix Browser.
2 Click the NAF icon; then select NSV-3 System To System.
3 In the Matrix Filters dialog box, click Next.
4 In the Choose Matrix Contents dialog box, click Finish to select all the items to show in the matrix.
Result: The SV-3 System To System matrix is displayed and the list of Related System Entities on the definition of the specified systems in this matrix is updated.
