XMI
XMI stands for Extensible Markup Interchange. The XMI standard is a structure for interchanging UML models using XML. UML models may be exchanged between modeling tools conforming to the UML metamodel, which is represented by a UML.dtd (document type definition). The Object Management Group lays down the specification for XMI, and updates it to correspond to every update to the UML specification.
The System Architect XMI Interface supports exporting and importing of XMI from UML information contained in Class and Use Case diagrams in System Architect. System Architect’s XMI Interface enables import and export of XMI files, thereby enabling users to exchange UML design information with other tools which support XMI.
