All items drawn on the Enterprise Direction diagram model the Ends, Means, and Influences of a particular organization. System Architect requires you to specify an 'owning' organizational unit from the outset when you create the Enterprise Direction diagram. An Organizational Unit can be the overall company itself, or any department in the organization.
Drawing organizational units on the diagram
You can draw Organizational Units on the diagram, and show what particular ends and means they are responsible for using the Connector line.
Displaying the organizational unit as a picture icon
By default, when you draw an Organizational Unit on an Enterprise Direction diagram, it is represented by a rectangle. To show it as a picture icon, right-click the symbol, and then click Display According to Symbol Graphic.
