The basic model structure is of a project with milestones, and dependencies can exist between milestones. Projects can be configured as to whether they exist prior to the first and after the last milestones referenced.
Colors of phases between milestones can be configured.

A Time Bar defines the size of the diagram and this can be presented on each project symbol.
