The User Symbol Types are used to create a symbol on the diagram workspace. In the User Symbol Type you can choose how the symbol is defined and assign it to a particular diagram.
To create a user symbol type
1 From the Explorer, right-click the Definitions group and select New Definition or select Dictionary > New Definition.
2 Select User Symbol Type and name it
3 In the Defined By property add in any definition name that you want this symbol to represent.
4 In the Assign To Diagram property add in any diagram name that you want this symbol to appear in.
