Installing System Architect
Prerequisite
Complete the planning and pre-installation tasks. For more information, see Planning the installation and Pre-installation tasks.
Procedure
1 Double-click the executable file that you downloaded to start the installation wizard.
2 In the Welcome window, click Next to start the installation.
3 On the Software License Agreement window, read the license agreement. If you agree to the terms of all of the license agreements, click I accept the terms of the license agreement. Click Next to continue.
4 On the Customer Information window, complete the User Name and Organization field. Indicate whether the installed product will be used by Anyone who uses this computer or available Only for me and click Next.
5 The Choose Destination Location window contains a summary of the space needed to install the product and available space. You can change the location of where the product is installed by clicking Browse. Click Next to continue.
6 On the License Information window, select where the license information is located. If you select I will supply license information later, you must supply the license the first time you start System Architect. You will be able to use it only when you have provided the license information: Specifying the license information. Click Next to continue.
7 To install an add-on product, select Custom, and then click Next. Otherwise, select Complete.
8 If you selected Custom, the Custom Setup window displays. Click the feature that you want to install. A menu displays where you can select the type of installation for the feature.
9 The Installation Preview window provides a summary of the installation. Click Install to start the installation.
Note You might be prompted to restart Windows to complete the installation. In Windows Vista, the System Architect installation resumes automatically. In Windows XP or Windows Server 2003, you also have to restart the System Architect installation manually.
