Before you install System Architect XT, it is recommended that you backup the following Windows components. You can restore these components if they are modified during the System Architect XT installation:
▪IIS Metabase: The installation process might update the IIS Metabase. To find IIS Metabase backup documentation, see:
▪Windows Registry: If you need to increase the number of concurrent users, or to add encrypted password security after the installation is complete, you must edit registry. To find Registry backup documentation, see:
Verify the installation of the Internet Information Services
If the Windows Internet Information Services (IIS) component is not enabled in the computer where System Architect XT is installed, you can manually enable it.
1 Click Control Panel, and then select Administrative Tools.
2 Click the Internet Information Services icon, and then click Go.
3 If you see the Internet Information Services icon, it means that the computer has IIS installed and enabled.
