Create new users or groups
All new Users or Groups are given the Read permission to the catalog. This feature enables users to see Enterprise encyclopedias in the Open Encyclopedia dialog in System Architect. After creating a User or a Group, you must assign them roles to play on encyclopedias, per encyclopedia.
To create a user
1 Right-click the root node Users & Groups and select New User.
2 Enter a value in the Name field, which is an identifier for SACM.
Note Enter the user name in the format DomainName\UserName, where DomainName is the name of your network domain, and the UserName is the name you use to log into your Windows operating system.
3 Enter a value in the Audit ID field.
Your Audit ID is limited to seven characters. If you exceed this limitation, the value you enter is clipped after the seventh character. System Architect uses the Audit ID to track User activity.throughout an encyclopedia.
4 Click OK.
To create a group
1 Right-click the root node Users & Groups and select New Group.
2 Enter a value in the Name field, and then click OK.
