Assign users to encyclopedias
A user that is assigned to an encyclopedia must also be assigned a role to play on that encyclopedia. If you assign a user to an encyclopedia and shut down System Architect Catalog Manager before assigning that user a role on the encyclopedia, the assignment of the user to the encyclopedia is dropped.
To assign a user to an encyclopedia
1 Expand the root Users & Groups node (click +).
2 Right-click a user, and then click Copy.
3 Expand the root Encyclopedias node, and then beneath it expand the encyclopedia to which you assigning the user.
4 Right-click that encyclopedia’s Users & Groups node and select Paste. A node is created for the user that you pasted.
Note Blue and italic formatting applied to the User, Roles and Catalog Permissions nodes signify that the assignments are temporary. That formatting is removed after you assign a role to the encyclopedia user, described in the steps that follow.
