The top level Edit menu is a context menu. The submenu items that it displays depends on the object that you select, in the Tree or List view. For example, selecting the Encyclopedia Permissions node displays a different set of commands on the Edit menu than selecting the Roles node.

The options on the Edit menu are the same that are displayed when you right-mouse click on an object.
