The Restore Default Items command in the Tools menu restores the default permissions to all the pre-defined roles, except the Administrator. The command does not apply to the Administrator role because it cannot be changed.
Import Users
This creates users from user records on a SQL Server, a Domain, a Computer or an Active Directory.
Import Groups
This creates user groups from group records on a Domain, a Computer or an Active Directory and also imports the users that are members of that group.
Publishing Optimized XT Reader Views
In System Architect Encyclopedia Manager, you can change an encyclopedia to use the Optimized XT Reader function. With this function System Architect XT displays encyclopedias without starting the application, and supports REST APIs (for more information see the online help for SAEM for SQL Server). If you run Optimized XT Reader on an encyclopedia, and later change encyclopedia permissions in the System Architect Catalog Manager, you must run Publish Optimized XT Reader Views again for the Optimized XT Reader feature to work properly.
Using the Publish Optimized XT Reader Views option
You can run the Publish Optimized XT Reader Views option on one or on multiple encyclopedias. However, before running this option, System Architect XT users viewing encyclopedias through the Optimized XT Reader Schema should log off those encyclopedias to prevent errors.
To run Publish Optimized XT Reader Views on multiple encyclopedias
1 Select the SQL Server containing the encyclopedias.
2 Click the Tools menu and select Publish Optimized XT Reader Views.
This function updates the views for any encyclopedia that has been updated with the Optimized XT Reader.
To run Publish Optimized XT Reader Views on individual encyclopedias
1 Select the SQL Server containing the encyclopedias.
2 Expand the Encyclopedias node.
3 Right-click on the encyclopedia to update and select Publish Optimized XT Reader Views from the menu.
The Publish Optimized XT Reader Views option is only shown for encyclopedias that have been updated with the Optimized XT Reader Schema.
4 Repeat the task for each encyclopedia you want to update.
