Lesson: Map class diagrams to entity relation diagrams
Map the Hotel Reservation System class diagram to an Entity Relation (ER) diagram.
To map the UML Class diagram to an ER diagram:
1 Open the Tutorial encyclopedia. (Select File > Open Encyclopedia > Existing. Select your Connection name, then highlight the Tutorial encyclopedia, click OK.)
2 Open the class diagram, Hotel Reservation System, in the Reservation System package.
3 Select Dictionary > Convert to ER Diagram. System Architect begins the mapping, and presents you with the Convert OO - ER dialog.
4 In the Convert OO - ER dialog, select Hotel Reservation System from the drop-down list.
5 In the Destination Diagram field, type in Reservation System as the name of the diagram.
6 Leave the default All Symbols selected in the Transfer group. This maps all classes on the currently open diagram.
