The table below lists files and file types by extension, which are outside the encyclopedia database, in subfolders of the System Architect application folder. The default is C:\Program Files\UNICOM Systems\System Architect Suite\System Architect. These files are used by encyclopedias to format symbols and run reports.

When you create a new encyclopedia, the contents of this file are automatically imported. AUTOEXEC.CSV contains the Trigger Templates, which can be used as the basis for defining triggers for SQL Server.

A .STY file contains encyclopedia style settings for symbols and text. A .STY file from one encyclopedia could be exported and applied on another encyclopedia. The file is automatically created the first time you save a format (see Format menu: Format File, and is named with the following syntax: xxxxxxxx.STY.

DCF files are batch controls for the printing of one or more diagram pictures and reports at the same time. A number of DCF files are shipped with System Architect; you can create as many as you want. You may copy these files into the encyclopedia path if you want, but most users treat them like master files and prefer to keep them in the startup path for access by all projects.
