Populating the diagram

You can use the following methods to populate the Explorer Diagram.

▪Drag and drop individual definition or diagram objects from the Explorer onto the diagram workspace.

▪The Explorer Object Report is one of two definition type reports that may be used to populate an Explorer Diagram. Explorer Object Report is a definition type in System Architect. You create an Explorer Object Report definition, specify the code of a report to run in its Content property, and then drag the definition from the Explorer onto the Explorer Diagram to populate the diagram with appropriate node symbols.

▪The Explorer Relationship Report is one of two definition type reports that may be used to populate an Explorer Diagram. Explorer Relationship Report is a definition type in System Architect. You create an Explorer Relationship Report definition, specify the code of a report to run in its Content property, and then drag the definition from the Explorer onto the Explorer Diagram to populate the diagram with appropriate relationship lines between symbols.

▪The Show immediate relatives command adds symbols to the diagram that are directly related to the selected node symbol.

In landscape mode, if the relatives are already present on the diagram, they are moved inside the parent or related symbol. The relatives in the landscape style are drawn inside the parent box, so their relationships are not depicted as relationship lines.

▪Refresh Collection rebuilds the contents of a collection by re-dropping associated reports.
