An Edit menu and a right‑click symbol menu entry is available that reads:
Edit represented object
System Architect will open and allow you to edit the definition, symbol or diagram that the symbol represents.
When the represented object is a symbol, System Architect will open or switch focus to the diagram containing the symbol and will select it for you. If you have multiple such items selected when performing this action, the last diagram concerned will be left active and all represented symbols are left selected. If the diagram concerned was already open then the represented symbols will be added to the existing selection.
The Find Symbol function will, when a single selection is made, allow the focus (visible area) of the diagram to shift to the symbol concerned if it is out of view.
