Drawing flag symbols
Flag symbols are used in Structure Charts. Flag symbols usually connect two module symbols by attaching to a call (line) symbol. This connection is formed after the flag symbol has been drawn. The flags in Structure Charts are data flags, descriptive flags, and control flags. Any of the flag types on Structure Charts can be either an up flag or a down flag.
To draw a flag symbol
1 Choose a flag symbol command from the Draw Menu or the Toolbox (for example, Data Down).
2 Move the cursor to the location on the diagram where the symbol is to be placed.
3 Press and hold the left mouse button. The symbol will appear.
4 To move the symbol, press and hold the left mouse button, then drag the cursor until the symbol is in the correct position on the diagram relative to the call.
5 To make the flag point in the correct direction, hold the left mouse button down and click the right mouse button. Each click of the right mouse button will rotate the flag clockwise. When the flag is pointing in the correct direction, release the left mouse button.
