When you relate two definitions through a reference property, the corresponding property in the referenced definition is updated automatically, as soon as you save the definition. The referenced definition is updated without you having to take further action. However, this functionality is not enabled for all properties in all definitions. Only a select set of properties in select definitions are enabled for mirroring.
