Menu commands
The COBOL Import Utility includes four menus.
File menu
Select COBOL File
Select the COBOL file to be imported.
Select CSV File
Name the CSV files used during import.
Print
Print the screen log.
Clear Screen
Deletes the log information from the screen.
Log Messages to File
Writes the log to a text file.
Exit
Closes the COBOL Import Utility.
Action menu
Create Entity CSV File
Extracts entity information from the selected COBOL file.
Create Data Struct CSV File
Extracts data structure information from the selected COBOL file.
Create Data Elem CSV File
Extracts data element information from the selected COBOL file.
Options menu
Target Database
Specify import for a SQL or a Progress database.
Date Fields
Specify a character string for distinguishing date fields.
Help menu
Help
Opens this online help system.
About
Displays information on the version of the COBOL Import Utility that you are using.
