1 If you are installing from an electric image that was downloaded, verify that you have the required parts and have extracted the download files correctly (see below).
2 Log on to your computer with an appropriate user ID.
3 Back up any necessary files.
4 During the installation of System Architect, you must specify the directory that holds your license file or provide the location of a license server. (You can also specify this information after installing it: see Specifying the license information.)
Verify and extracting the electronic image
Verify the completeness of the downloaded files and extract the electronic image from the files.
1 Extract the installation files preserving the directory structure of the download compressed files.
2 Extract the contents of all the compressed files to the same directory.
