System Architect XT is based on Microsoft ASP.NET technology, which is part of the .NET Framework. To create the System Architect XT website and manage access, you must configure following Windows services and components:
▪Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) 7.0, 7.5, 8.0, or 8.5: Creates and configures a Virtual folder for the System Architect XT website.
▪Directory Security: Enforces security for the System Architect XT website by using the Integrated Windows authentication. This authentication checks the identity credentials that users submit before they are allowed to access the secured website content.
▪Enables .SVG graphic support by configuring IIS and installing the Java applet to view .SVG files. Installation of the Java applet requires the Java Runtime Environment to be installed; if it is not, you can install the JRE and manually configure .SVG support.
▪Creates a Windows user account also referred to as the “domain account”. You can choose the name in the form of DomainName\UserName and a password for this account during the installation. The account is granted permissions to select folders. You can use an existing account, as long as it has required permissions.
