Installing System Architect XT over System Architect
When you start the System Architect XT installation, it detects whether System Architect is already installed. If it is installed, and it is the same version as the System Architect XT version you are attempting to install, the install proceeds. If the product versions are not the same, the installation terminates.
To install System Architect XT over System Architect
1 Run the System Architect XT installation file. The installation process is the same as if System Architect were not installed, except for the important distinction that you cannot select a path. System Architect XT must use the same path because it will install over System Architect incrementally, adding only those components that are not already installed.
2 Complete the installation as instructed by the installation wizard to complete.
