The System Architect XT/Focal Point Gadget Dashboard add-on provides the ability to display OpenSocial-style gadgets on your System Architect XT website. By utilizing technology found in UNICOM’s Focal Point, several reporting options can be displayed in a modern graphical interface including Reporting gadgets displaying bar and pie charts, Search gadgets for finding Diagrams and Definitions in System Architect, Gantt-style charting, and Pivot Table options.

During the installation, a full Focal Point instance will be installed, with some properties already configured for System Architect integration. Users must setup their own database to host the Focal Point project necessary for this integration. The open-source PostgreSQL database server is included in the Focal Point distribution and can be setup quickly with very little configuration. Though a full installation of Focal Point is included with the distribution, functionality will be limited based on what features you have licensed.
