Importing encyclopedia artifacts from IBM Rational Asset Manager
To import encyclopedia artifacts to System Architect from IBM Rational Asset Manager, the encyclopedia into which you are importing must be enabled with the Rational Asset Manager option.
To import artifacts from the Rational Asset Manager server, you must have permission to login into the server.

1 Open the encyclopedia into which you are importing Rational Asset Manager assets.
2 In the Explorer, right-click and then click Import XML.
3 In the Import from section, click Rational Asset Manager.
A default folder is displayed in the Select a temporary folder field. Optionally, you can change the folder.
4 Review the Collision options and make any necessary changes.
5 Click Next.
6 In the Rational Asset Manager login dialog, enter values for the following fields.
Server URL
Type:
http://ram_server:port_number/ram.ws
where ram_server is the name of the Rational Asset Manager server and port_number is the associated port.
User Name
Type the User ID to establish session with the server.
Password
Type the password associated with the User ID.
Check Stay logged in if you want to retain your login throughout your current session. The URL is maintained for future use, but the login information is not maintained.
7 Click Next.
8 Enter an existing Rational Asset Manager asset name in the Name field or select the asset name using the Search icon to get all the assets. You can also filter assets by what you enter in the Name field.
9 Select a Version, Community, and enter a Short Description.
10 Click Import.
