Notifications about status changes: example
To set up a notification about status changes, use this example.
In this example, you are handling requirements, each of which has a current owner. The status of a requirement can be set to any of these values:
New
Accepted for Prioritization
Analyzed
Accepted for Planning
Planned
Started
Implemented
Verified
Notifications must be sent to requirement owners when a status is changed from Accepted for Planning to Planned, from Planned to Started, and from Started to Implemented.
To set up this notification, you might specify these settings:

This notification sends an email to the
requirement owner of a requirement when
status is set to Planned, Started, or
Implemented.
Base the notification on the view
Select a view with the rule:
All elements in the Requirements module
whose type is a folder is false AND Status
is Planned OR Started OR Implemented.
Ensure that the Title and Status attributes are visible in the view and that the history logs of the Status attribute are activated.
Use date and number format settings of the member
Select a member whose date and number format settings you want to use in the notification.
Send a notification with
Select all changes
Look for changes every
Select every hour
Send to members in
Select Attribute: Owner.
This attribute in the Requirements module is used for setting the current owner of a requirement.

Tips: To send notifications about the status changes of certain user roles:
Create a view that is based on the Members module that includes all the users to be receivers.
In the Send to members in field, select the view that you created.
Set the view rule to:
All elements in the Members module whose
Parent Folder is Product Management OR Developers
All users who have either of these roles receive a notification when Status is changed.
You must create two notifications in the following situations:
To send notifications to users with a specific role and users in a specific attribute.
To send notifications to a group of users that has the Status is set to Planned and to another group of users that has the Status is set to Started.
