Lesson 7: Create project and work items
In the previous lesson, you checked the status of the requirements. In this lesson, you publish the project proposal that includes linked business needs to the Change and Configuration Management application. This action creates a project area, a plan, and work items in the Change and Configuration Management application.

Prerequisite
Register Focal Point® as consumer. For more information, see Lesson 1: Create a consumer key and secret and Lesson 3: Connect to the IBM Rational solution for CLM server.
For the My Projects view, add the Publish project to the Jazz Server view command. For more information, see Lesson 5: Add view commands for bulk operation.
Get a user account in the Change and Configuration Management application.
When you publish the project proposal, you specify the process template that is used for the project, top-level work item type that the business needs are converted to, and the user who owns the work items.
Steps
1 In Focal Point® log in as Carl Riggs, a user with Regular User rights.
2 Click Display > Approved Projects.
3 Click the WonderCar project.
4 Click the Create project in Jazz icon Create project in Jazz.
5 In the Jazz Team Server list, select RTC and click Log in. Supply your Change and Configuration Management application credentials.
6 From the Process Template list, select Scrum.
7 From the Work Item Type list, select Story.
By default, Story is a top-level work type for the Scrum process template.
8 From the Owner list, select Unassigned.
9 Click Create.
The WonderCar project with work items are created in the Change and Configuration Management application.
