Configuring link table views
You can define a link table view on a Link, LinkList or Incoming link attribute that is linked to only a single target module in the same workspace. The link table configuration is exported during a workspace export.
Before you begin
Make sure that:
the Link, LinkList or Incoming link attribute is linked to only a single target module belonging to the same workspace
the module where you plan to configure a link table view already has a view.
About this task
A link table view can be configured while defining the attribute visibility on a view. After configuring a link table on a view, the link data is displayed as a table instead of a link list. The attribute order in the link table remains the same as the order in an attribute list page or a table view. Linked data can be edited by clicking the icon in the heading row of the link table.
Procedure
To configure a link table view:
1 Click the Settings icon Settings icon and then, from the Configure group, click Views.
2 Add a view or select a view from the list of views. To add a view, click Add View, and select the module from which you want to view the linked elements.
3 Define or edit the view rule, and then click OK.
The page to define the access level for the attributes in the view appears. There is a Link Table icon next to all of the Link, LinkList or Incoming link attributes.
4 Click the Link Table icon next to the Link, LinkList, or Incoming link attribute that you want to select. You can configure a link table view only on link attributes that are linked to a single, target module. A message appears if the icon you clicked corresponds to an attribute that is linked to multiple modules.
5 On the “Editing the link table view” page, you can use search strings to filter the results.
6 Select the view in the “Select View(s)” section. Click Next.
7 Define the required default view settings, and click Finish. The link table view is configured for the selected view.
What to do next
You can view the link table data, export and edit the data, and import the data.
