Starting the Focal Point application and the components
If you have deployed Focal point on IBM WebSphere Application Server, you can start the Focal Point application and components from IBM WebSphere Integrated Solutions Console.
Before you begin
Complete these tasks:
Deploying the Focal Point application
Deploying the financial feature component
Deploying the Jazz Web UI feature component
Deploying the help system
Procedure
1 In the IBM WebSphere Integrated Solutions Console, click Application > Application Types > WebSphere enterprise applications.
2 Select fp_war, and then click Start.
A green arrow indicates that the application started.
3 Similarly, start other application components: Financier_war, FinancierRest_war, jazzui_war, and fphelp_war.
If you are using Websphere application server and cannot open Focal Point, restart the Websphere application server instance:
4 At the command prompt, go to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\AppSrv01\bin
5 To stop the server instance in which Focal Point is deployed to server1, run this command:
stopServer.bat server1
6 To start the server instance, run this command:
startServer.bat server1
Next
Specify where to save your Focal Point logs. For more information, see ‘Focal Point log files’ in the online documentationFocal Point log files.
The administrator must start Focal Point, and then change the administrator password. For more information, see Starting Focal Point.
