Adding and configuring attributes for storing links to artifacts in the Rational solution for Collaborative Lifecycle Management applications
To link Focal Point business needs to artifacts in a Rational solution for Collaborative Lifecycle Management (CLM) application, create an Integration link attribute with a configured link type of the work space association.
Before you begin
You must be a workspace administrator to create an attribute in Focal Point
You must have added Focal Point as a friend to Rational solution for CLM application and have valid user credentials for the CLM application.
Procedure
1 Click the Settings icon Settings icon and then, from the Configure group, click Attributes. The available modules are listed.
2 Select the module in which you want to add the attribute.
3 Click Add Attribute.
4 Click Integration Link to select attribute type.
5 Specify a name and the description for the attribute. For example:
Related requirements, Stores links to requirements
6 To include the description of the element when you create an artifact in the Rational solution for CLM application, select Include Description.
7 Select Log Changes.
This setting is a prerequisite for enabling the view command for restoring links.
8 Click OK.
