In Focal Point, you can link to requirements or create requirements that are added in project areas in a Rational solution for Collaborative Lifecycle Management (CLM) application. You can also search for and view the requirements in a CLM application project.
Make sure to set this property even after you reinstall Rational solution for CLM.
You can skip this step for Rational solution for CLM applications version 5.0 as they do not have the fronting.properties file.
Restriction: Title and Description are not copied while creating a new requirement in Rational Requirements Composer.
Procedure
1 In Focal Point, open the element that has the Integration Link attribute to link from.
2 In the row of the Integration Link attribute, click the Edit icon .
3 To link to a requirement in the CLM application, click Select.
▪ The first time you link to a requirement, specify your user ID and password for the CLM application.
▪ In the “Requirement selection” window, search for the requirement or requirement collection.
▪ In the search results, select one or more requirements to link to.
▪ Click OK. The requirement titles and numbers are listed in the attribute row.
▪ Click the requirements titles to verify that the links are correct.
4 To create and link to a new requirement, click Create New.
▪ Specify your user ID and password for the CLM application.
▪ In the “Requirement Creation” window, add the requirement or requirement collection details. Specify the mandatory attributes for the requirement. Depending on the attribute configuration, the description field might be populated with the description from the element.
▪ Click OK. The requirement title and number are listed in the attribute row of the source element.
5 Click the requirement titles to verify that the links are displayed in the Requirement Management application and that links back to the element exist.
6 Click Save to save the attribute value for the element.
To view the requirement details, hover the cursor over the title of the requirement that is listed as the attribute value.
