Managing products and portfolios : Creating criteria and thresholds : Creating thresholds

Creating thresholds
You can define thresholds that can be used to compare and display threshold values. The threshold is displayed as a line that separates the graph based on the element ranking and value.
Before you begin
Configure a module with elements, criteria, and view.
Prioritize the elements in the view.
Include the view in Display, Prioritize and Visualize.
About this task
Threshold attribute is in percentage by default. But if the criteria uses an estimate attribute, the threshold will be in terms of the estimate attribute.
Using thresholds, you can:
compare threshold values with sums in statistics view
display threshold values in Visualize as lines in Bar, Stacked Bar, XY and Gantt charts.
Procedure
1 Click Criteria and select the criterion.
2 Enter value for the Threshold attribute.
3 Click Visualize and select the view.
4 Select the chart type.
5 Right-click on the chart and select Show threshold Lines. The threshold line separates elements whose priority sum just meets threshold criterion. The criteria bar also displays a line that defines the threshold value.
