Commenting about the assumptions
You can add or change a comment in a stream. The comment is displayed with the date, time, and the name of the commentor. All the comments of a stream are displayed as a log, and on the Investment analysis and Time grid modes.
Procedure
1 Click the Comment tab.
2 Type a comment. You can enter up to 300 characters. The comments are saved when you save the changes in Investment analysis.
This comment can also be seen from the time grid in grid mode for the stream in which the comment was made.
If you change a comment and switch to another stream, the comment is still retained. You can switch back to that stream and see your unsaved change.
Example
To build a business model, various business cases are created and after analyzing the market opportunity, the assumptions for the revenue is projected. The projections contain a high, low, and expected values. The assumptions that were made to arrive at the projected values can be documented as comments in the Documentation tab. Here is an example taskflow:
1 A benefit stream called Transaction is created for a project
2 The projected high, likely and low values are estimated
3 By using Investment analysis, a comment is added by <Person A> and then reviewed by <Person B> on the assumptions that were made to arrive at the projected values for reference
4 The same comment is viewed and edited in the time grid mode for the Transaction benefit stream
