Linking copied and original elements
You can configure Focal Point to automatically link a copy of an element and the original element. Use a separate link attribute to hold the links; for example, Link to Original.
Procedure
1 Click the Settings icon Settings icon, and then, from the Configure group, click Attributes.
The available modules are listed.
2 Select the module that contains the attribute. Click Add Attribute. Click Link.
3 In the Name field, type an attribute name. Give the new Link attribute a title and make sure that Allowed Target Modules is the only module in which copies are created.
4 Click OK to save the attribute.
The list of views is displayed.
5 Select the views in which the new Link attribute is to be editable, and visible. Click Update Views.
6 Click the Settings icon Settings icon, and then, from the Configure group, click Modules.
7 Select the module that is to contain the links.
8 In Origin Link Attribute, select the Link attribute that you created.
9 Click OK to save.
A link to the original element is created when the copy is saved.
