Copying formatted text from a Microsoft Word document
Use the Paste from Word feature of the formatting editor to copy formatted text from a Microsoft Word document to a text attribute.
Before you begin
Select the Formatting check box in the Visual settings of the text attribute to display the formatting editor.
About this task
Only the formatted text can be copied to the text attribute. Similarly, if the text being copied contains <> tags, any text enclosed within those tags are not imported. You have to copy that text separately, and paste it in between the <> tags in the format editor. Note that the Focal Point text tags are enclosed by [], while <> are more common with markup language, such as HTML.
Restriction: Focal Point Rich Text Editor uses the rich text editor component provided by ckEditor. All the limitations of the ckEditor is applicable to the formatting editor of Focal Point. For information about the tags supported by the Rich Text Editor, see Text formatting.
