Administrators can configure settings for the notifications and mails that are sent from Focal Point. Click Administration from the User menu. Then, click the Application tab, and select Mail to display the page to configure the mail settings.
SMTP Host
The location of an SMTP host that is available.
SMTP Port
The location of an SMTP port that is available.
Focal Point Server Mail Name
The name that is displayed in the From field in mail that is sent from the product.
Focal Point Server Mail Address
The address that is displayed in the From field of mail that is sent from the product. The reply-to address in all the mails is the address of the current user.
Default Mail Footer
A message that is added to the end of mail.
Mail Format
The format of mails sent from the product. If you use Microsoft Exchange as a mail server, do not use the Mixed option.
Retry Mail Delivery
If the SMTP server is unaccessible, messages can be queued to be resent.
FTP URL
FTP URL to which Focal Point can upload files. The URL should be in the format ftp://user:password@host:port/path. Secure FTP (SFTP) URLs are not supported.
