Opening a file or database of another type
1 From the Metadata Model to Quantum menus, choose File > Open MDSC.
2 In the Files of Type list box, select the type of file that you want to open. You can open any type of file or database for which you have a read-enabled MDSC. In UNICOM Intelligence Data Model 2.7, read-enabled MDSCs are supplied for opening .sav files, Quanvert databases, and .qdi, log, and mrScriptMetadata files.
3 In the Open dialog box, select the file or database that you want to open.
If the file or database contains more than one version, Metadata Model to Quantum will open the Metadata Versions dialog box, so that you can specify which version or versions you want to use. For more information, see
Version Selection.
4 If necessary, select the version or versions you want to use and click OK.
If the file or database does not contain a serial number variable called Respondent.Serial, Metadata Model to Quantum will open the Select Serial Variable dialog box, so that you can specify which variable is the serial number variable.
5 If required, select a suitable variable and click OK.
