UNICOM Intelligence Data Merge: Select Merge Type pane
Use this pane to select the type of data merge you want to carry out, and to specify the first survey data file.
To choose the type of data merge to perform
1 Choose one of these:
Merge cases from other data sets if you have a number of files that each contain data for different respondents.
Merge variables from one other data set if you have a single file containing data for all the respondents, but you want to add new variables from another file.
2 Specify the first data set. Click Browse, and then select the first survey data file that you want to include in the merge. This is likely to be the first survey data file of a set, if you are merging cases, or the main survey data file, if you are merging variables. The merged data is not written to this file; the UNICOM Intelligence Data Merge tool always creates a new output file for the merged data.
