Using the Connection String Builder
The Connection String Builder makes it easy to insert a connection string into a script. You typically use the Connection String Builder to specify the ConnectionString parameter in the InputDataSource and OutputDataSource sections of a DMS file. The ConnectionString parameter specifies the name, type, and location of the input and output data.
For step-by-step instructions on using the Connection String Builder, see 3. Transferring different types of data.
To use the Connection String Builder
1 In the main Edit window, place the cursor at the position in which you want to insert the connection string.
2 From the Tools menu, choose Connection String Builder.
3 Use the Data Link Properties dialog box to specify the details of the data to which you want to connect.
4 Click OK.
