Modifying mark fields
Mark fields are where respondents or interviewers indicate the selection of a category (or categories) in answer to a categorical or grid question. You can create mark fields in several ways:
category names, keycodes, or punch characters that are circled
symbols, such as boxes or circles that are checked. You can use the same symbol for both single response categories and multiple response categories, or you can use a different symbol for each type.
a combination of symbols and values where the symbols are checked
a border around the table cell.
