Interviewer - Server Admin > Publish Data > Metadata tab

Metadata tab
The Metadata tab provides options for defining the UNICOM Intelligence metadata and analysis variable (dimension and measure questions) information that is used when publishing data.
All questions are published if none are selected.
Metadata options
Metadata options are used to select specific languages, contexts, label types, and the single .mdd version for each .mdm document. When applied, the variables are refreshed according to the defined settings:
Language
Select the language to be used for the published labels.
Context
Select which texts are displayed. For example, select Question to display question texts, or Analysis to display shorter texts that are suitable for displaying when analyzing the data.
Label type
Select the appropriate label type, usually Label.
System variables
Select which system variables are to be included in the Cognos package: All, Common or None.
Version
Select the project version for the selected .mdd file.
The Advanced tab provides the option of selecting multiple versions. When multiple versions are selected in the Advanced tab, the Version list displays Multiple versions.
Include participant fields
When this option is selected, the sample data for projects with sample management will be exposed to Cognos.
Apply
Click this button to apply the selected metadata options.
Analysis variables
The table displays all variables for the selected UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server Admin project. Whether the default type is set for each question or not depends on the DPM Property SetDefaultForQuestions (the default value is true) for the first publish. During subsequent publishing, question selection is set according to the latest status, which may be set by different user.
You can use Restore Defaults or Clear All to control the default type that is set for each question.
Note Derived questions, or other questions where HasCaseData is set as false, are not listed when selecting questions.
Scroll through the available UNICOM Intelligence variables and determine whether they should be categorized as Cognos dimension or measure variables.
Dimension. In Cognos parlance, a dimension is the short form of regular dimension, which represents descriptive data that provides context for data modeled in measure dimensions.
Measure. In Cognos parlance, a measure is short form for measure dimensions, which represent the quantitative data described by regular dimensions.
The following table shows the UNICOM Intelligence Data Type for common questions.
