Modifying user accounts
You can change the details stored for a user account, the properties assigned to that user, and the roles to which that user is a member.
You can change a user's password, or specify that a user must change their password at next login, by modifying the user's account details.
1 In the left tree, click Users under the appropriate customer account. If you are not using customer accounts, click Users under the System account.
A list of current role members appears on the right-hand side of the page.
2 To change the user's account details, select the user that you want to modify from left tab and click Modify. The User Administration dialog box displays the current account settings.
3 Change the properties as described below, and then click OK.
4 To assign the user to one or more roles:
Click Add/Remove. This opens the Add Role dialog box.
Select the roles to which you want to add the user and click OK.

Provides a brief user description. The field is limited to 250 characters.
Authentication
Identifies the security provider that is used when the user logs in.
Change password?
When selected, you can immediately change the user's password. With this setting, you can change user passwords without many of the restrictions that apply when users change their passwords via the User can change password setting (passwords can be changed more than once every 24-hours and previous passwords can be used).
The User must change password at next login options should be selected when the password is reset by the administrator.
User can change password
When selected, the user is provided the option of changing their password.
The default password policy is as follows:
Must be eight characters in length.
Must contain a mix of alphanumeric and non-alphanumeric characters (punctuation or special characters), or a combination of at least two types of non-alphanumeric characters.
Cannot contain user ID information (default setting).
Must be changed every 90 days (default setting).
Can only be changed once every 24 hours.
Cannot be reused for at least eight password intervals (default setting).
The default password policy can be changed through the authentication site properties in DPM. For more information, see in the UNICOM Intelligence Developer Documentation Library.
User must change password at next login
When selected, the user must change their password at next login.
User account is disabled
When selected, the user account is effectively disabled.
User account is locked out
When selected, the user account is locked. An account is typically locked after three failed login attempts.
If user properties have been defined in UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server Admin, the User Properties button is displayed. To assign new properties to this user or change existing assignments, click this button to open the Assign User Properties dialog box, and then make your changes and click OK to return to the user details dialog box.
